The road races will use a U.S.A.T.F. certified and sanctioned 5K and 10K course starting on Crystal Springs Drive in Griffith Park.
PARKING
Free parking is available in several lots near the start/finish area and Park Center. Please arrive early since the roads will be closed for a short time at the start of the races.
START
The Kidie Fun run starts at 8:00 a.m., the 5K and 10K runs start at 8:15 a.m, and the 5K Fun Walk starts at 8:15 a.m. on Crystal Springs Drive in Griffith Park. All races use the same start and finish lines. (The Kiddie Fun Run is on the grass next to the race expo.)
WATER STATIONS
Water will be provided at the start/finish area and at several locations along the race course.
AWARDS
All kids participating in the 1K Kiddie Fun Run will receive a ribbon.
5K RUN
The top 5 male and female finishers of the 5K will receive cash prizes as follows:
• 1st place $175, a ribbon, and medal
• 2nd place $125, a ribbon, and medal
• 3rd place $100, a ribbon, and medal
• 4th place $75
• 5th place $25
10K RUN
The top 5 male and female finishers of the 10K will receive cash prizes as follows:
• 1st place $300, a ribbon, and medal
• 2nd place $275, a ribbon, and medal
• 3rd place $225, a ribbon, and medal
• 4th place $150
• 5th place $50
TIMING AND RESULTS
Finish line and race timing services will be provided by PRIME TIME. Race results will be posted by Tuesday, December 18, 2007.

Pre-registration, group registration and bib pick up 10 am to 3 pm on Saturday, Dec. 15 at Runnergy, 13541 Ventura Blvd., Sherman Oaks, CA 91423, (818) 905-0020. Receive a free gift for pre-registering at Runnergy. The first 15 to register at Runnergy will receive a Fuel Belt (gift valued at approx. $15).
RUNNER GOODIES
All race entrants receive a quality race t-shirt, Free pancake breakfast, a free DVD, and a great goodie bag. Runners will also enjoy lavish post-race refreshments and be registered for raffle prize giveaways.
EXPO AREA
Come visit our Expo Area where many fun activities will be going on. Also feel free to wander our sponsor's exhibit areas. There will be music, free samples, interactive displays and more!
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Even if you don't run, you can still support the Say No To Drugs race and the efforts of the runners by volunteering at the race. Help is needed as follows:
• Registration, T-shirts, food tables, water
stations,course direction, mile timers
• Finish line, stage helpers, trail course monitors
• Ongoing cleanup
On race-day, volunteers should plan to be at Griffith Park at 5:00 AM. Please arrive early, parking is free! When you get to Griffith Park, just go to the Volunteer Check-in booth at the Festival area by the start/finish line to receive your assignment and t-shirt.
